Recruiting a Schools Streets Officer
The Collective have secured funding via Trafford Council and Transport for Greater Manchester to deliver and support five schools to set up and sustain School Streets.
A school street is a road outside a school with restrictions on motor traffic at school drop off and pick up times. The temporary closure helps reduce congestion and pollution, resulting in a safer, healthier and more pleasant environment for everyone.
In order to ensure that School Streets are successful and sustainable, we are recruiting a School Streets Officer to work with schools, residents and local communities on this programme.
The successful applicant will work alongside key stakeholders, including Trafford Council, to engage with and empower schools(teachers, pupils and parents) and residents to create strong, sustainable School Streets, and create long term active travel behaviour change.
This is an exciting opportunity to deliver a high-profile project that has real benefits for local communities.
